Through her tireless service, mentorship, and unwavering belief in young people, Barby helped build TARS into one of the nation’s premier Republican youth organizations and an official auxiliary of the Republican Party.
Under her leadership and guidance, thousands of students discovered their passion for public service, civic engagement, grassroots campaigning, and conservative leadership. From organizing national conferences and leadership programs to mentoring state and local chapters across the country, Barby devoted herself to ensuring that young Republicans had a place to learn, lead, and make a difference.
Today, National TARS continues the mission Barby spent her life advancing: equipping teenagers with the leadership skills, civic knowledge, and opportunities necessary to become the next generation of Republican leaders. Her legacy lives on in the countless students, volunteers, elected officials, and activists whose lives she impacted through this organization.
